Bumrah ascends to the top position in ICC Test bowler rankings
Following his standout performance in the recently concluded Vizag Test against England, Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah has soared to the summit of ICC Test bowler rankings.
At 30 years old, he becomes the first Indian fast bowler to achieve this feat in the longest format.
Furthermore, Bumrah joins the elite ranks of players who have held the top position in all three formats of the game.
With impressive red-ball career statistics, his trajectory has been particularly remarkable over the last two years.
Since the beginning of 2022, Bumrah has claimed 56 wickets from nine Tests, boasting an extraordinary average of 13.60 and a strike-rate of 27.51.
Notably, he has secured four five-wicket hauls during this period.
