Zimbabwe all-rounder Sean Williams has bid farewell to T20 Internationals.

According to reports from Cricpulse, the left-hander finalized his decision after the recent five-match T20I series in Bangladesh.

Despite Bangladesh clinching victory in the first four matches, Zimbabwe managed to secure a consolation win on Sunday, providing Williams a cheerful exit from the format.

Participating only in the inaugural and concluding games of the series, Williams announced his retirement decision to his teammates post the match.

Nonetheless, he will persist in representing Zimbabwe in ODIs and Tests.

An official from the Bangladesh Cricket Board, working closely with the Zimbabwean team, affirmed to Cricpulse on Sunday, “He (Williams) decided to retire from T20Is and conveyed his decision to his teammates following the game.”

During his tenure, Williams featured in 81 T20Is for Zimbabwe, accumulating 1691 runs at a strike rate of 126.38, along with claiming 48 wickets with his left-arm spin.
