India and Pakistan are once again grouped together in Group A of the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup T20, set to take place in Dambulla, Sri Lanka from July 19-28.

In contrast to the previous 2022 edition held in Bangladesh, where all seven teams faced each of the six opponents in the league phase, this year sees the addition of an eighth team.

The historically successful India, 2018 champions Bangladesh, Pakistan, and hosts Sri Lanka will be joined by Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, and UAE.

The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for July 21.

However, on the opening day, July 19, both India and Pakistan will be in action against Nepal and UAE, respectively.

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand are placed in Group B.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for July 26, leading up to the finale on July 28.

The schedule coincides with the commencement of The Hundred 2024 on July 23, potentially resulting in a delayed joining of players like India’s Smriti Mandhana (Southern Brave), Richa Ghosh (Birmingham Phoenix), and Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu (Oval Invincibles) to their respective sides.
