The highly anticipated second season of the premier women’s T20 league is set to kick off next week.
This thrilling T20 extravaganza will feature five strong teams, competing in a total of 20 league matches and two knockout matches, promising intense competition and showcasing cricketing brilliance.
The defending champions, Mumbai Indians, will face off against last year’s finalists, Delhi Capitals, in the inaugural match of the Women’s Premier League’s second edition at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on February 23rd.
The team that clinches the top spot in the standings will secure a direct berth to the final.
Meanwhile, the teams finishing second and third will battle it out in an eliminator match for a chance to challenge the table-toppers in the WPL final.
START DATE OF WOMEN’S PREMIERE LEAGUE 2024:
The inaugural match of WPL 2024 is scheduled for Friday, February 23, while the grand finale is set for Sunday, March 17.
This season of WPL will exclusively feature single headers, with all matches kicking off at 7:30 PM IST.
VENUE OF WOMEN’S PREMIERE LEAGUE 2024:
The initial 11 matches are slated to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The subsequent nine league matches and the two Playoff matches shifting to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
