Surya Kumar Yadav notched his 6th T20 century.

Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 173/8 in 20 overs, where as Mumbai Indians scored 174/3 in 20 overs.

So, finally Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets.

Surya Kumar Yadav blazed a 51-ball 102*, embellished with 12 fours and 6 sixes, steering Mumbai Indians to victory over a target reminiscent of their recent unsuccessful chase under similar circumstances at the same venue three days prior.

SRH’s inability to emulate KKR’s bowling success was chiefly due to Surya Kumar’s prowess in finding the boundaries, a skill in which MI outclassed their opponents.

Surya Kumar’s aggressive batting dismantled SRH following Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla’s three-wicket hauls, restricting the visitors to 173/8.

SRH faltered after an initial stumble, struggling to find boundaries.

During the first half of the Power Play, the MI pacer swung the ball effectively, keeping the SRH openers relatively contained.

Debutant Anshul Kamboj nearly tasted success when he dismissed Travis Head, only for the umpire to rule it a no-ball.

However, Head rode his luck, benefiting from inside edges.

Nevertheless, Bumrah managed to dismiss Abhishek Sharma in the final over of the Power Play.

Despite Kamboj’s efforts, Head survived until the halfway mark, aided by a dropped catch by Nuwan Thushara.

Kamboj claimed his maiden IPL wicket by clean bowling Mayank Agarwal.

Piyush Chawla and Hardik Pandya then dismantled SRH’s strong batting lineup, removing Head, Nitish Reddy, and Heinrich Klaasen.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar also bounced back, dismissing Naman Dhir for a duck.

However, Surya Kumar Yadav and Tilak Varma managed to stabilize the innings, ending the Power Play on a positive note.

Despite the challenges posed by the dew, Surya Kumar launched a counter attack against SRH.

Exploiting Jansen’s loose lengths, he smashed two fours and two sixes in an over.

Despite a good start by SRH’s bowlers, Surya Kumar continued to dominate, reaching his fifty in the 13th over.

With Jansen conceding runs, Cummins introduced Shahbaz Ahmed, but Surya Kumar continued to score freely.

He formed a crucial partnership with Tilak, equalling SRH’s boundary count by the 13th over.

Death-overs: Surya Kumar secures century and victory

Cummins attempted to break through in the death overs but was thwarted by Surya Kumar’s aggressive batting.

Surya Kumar accelerated towards his century, smashing two fours and a six off Cummins’ over.

In the 18th over from Natarajan, he reached his milestone with a majestic six over extra cover, guiding MI to victory with 2.4 overs to spare.
