So, finally Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets.

Powered by Simarjeet Singh’s three-wicket haul and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s unbeaten 42 off 41, complemented by valuable contributions from the rest of the batting lineup, Chennai Super Kings secured a vital win over Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk on Sunday (May 12).

With a disciplined bowling effort limiting the Royals to 141/5, CSK chased down the target in the penultimate over, propelling them to the third position on the points table.

While there was just an eight-run difference between the teams during the 7-15 overs phase, CSK maintained control of the chase.

In contrast, RR faced challenges finding a clear direction on a challenging pitch for batting.

Their struggle to score at under 6 runs per over in the middle overs and the inability to hit a single boundary during this phase proved pivotal in determining the match’s outcome.
