Oman scored 150/7 in 20 overs, where as Scotland scored 153/3 in 13.1 overs.

So, finally Scotland beat Oman by 7 wickets.

Brandon McMullen’s unbeaten 61 propelled Scotland to the top of Group B with a seven-wicket victory over Oman, who became the first team officially eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024.

Pratik Athavale’s solid half-century, complemented by Ayaan Khan’s 41*, helped Oman post a competitive 150/7 on a slow Antigua pitch.

However, Scotland’s top-order came out aggressively, securing the win with 6.5 overs to spare after George Munsey’s explosive cameo laid a strong foundation.

What was the difference?

Oman slowed down in the middle overs, whereas Scotland’s McMullen and Munsey attacked the slower bowlers, negating the pitch conditions.

Scotland hit eight sixes and as many boundaries in the 7.1 overs needed to chase the target after an evenly matched powerplay.

Contributions from Richie Berrington and Matthew Cross sealed the victory with 6.5 overs to spare.
