T20 World Cup 2024 : Mohammad Amir has been named in the Pakistan’s pace-heavy World Cup squad.

Pakistan have confirmed their squad for the upcoming T20I World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean, with both Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir making it to the final fifteen.

The Babar Azam-led side features five players who will be participating in the T20 World Cup for the first time.

Both Wasim and Amir recently came out of retirement to be included in the national side and have secured their spots for the World Cup as well.

Notable omissions include pacer Hasan Ali, Salman Ali Agha, and Mohammad Irfan Khan, who were all part of Pakistan’s recent matches against England.

No traveling reserves have been announced by Pakistan.

A media release from the PCB stated that the team remains optimistic about Haris Rauf’s injury recovery.

Pakistan is set to kickstart their tournament on June 6th when they take on co-hosts USA in Dallas.
