Sri Lanka’s T20I captain Wanindu Hasaranga faces a two-match suspension and a fine for criticizing umpire Lyndon Hannibal during the third T20I against Afghanistan.

Hasaranga disputed the umpire’s decision on a no-ball for height during a crucial moment in the match, which Sri Lanka ultimately lost by 3 runs.

Hasaranga’s comments led to a breach of the ICC Code of Conduct, resulting in a suspension from the first two T20Is against Bangladesh.

Additionally, Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz received a demerit point and a fine for disobeying an umpire’s instruction during the same match.
