PSL 2024: The Multan Sultans has secured their place in the fourth consecutive PSL final.

Usama Mir’s impressive performance, taking 2 wickets for just 16 runs, earned him the title of Player of the Match.

Peshawar Zalmi scored 146/7 in 20 overs, where as Multan Sultans scored 147/3 in 18.3 overs.

So, finally Multan Sultans beat Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets.

The Multan Sultans secured their spot in a fourth consecutive PSL final with a commanding and clinical victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the Qualifier clash held at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday.

Despite a slow and challenging pitch, the Sultans’ bowlers restricted Zalmi to a below-par total of 146 runs.

Led by Yasir Khan, the Sultans’ batters chased down the target with seven wickets in hand and nine balls to spare.

Although Zalmi will have another chance to make it to the final and face the same opponents, the Sultans’ dominant performance left little room for doubt.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Zalmi aimed to replicate their successful defense in the previous league match.

However, the Sultans’ batting prowess proved too formidable, with Yasir Khan particularly shining with a quick-fire half-century off just 32 balls.

While Mohammad Rizwan played a supporting role, it was Usman Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed who ensured a smooth finish to the chase.

The Sultans’ bowlers, especially during the middle overs, tightened the noose around Zalmi’s batsmen after a strong start.

Despite Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris’s promising partnership, timely breakthroughs by bowlers like Jordan and Usama Mir disrupted Zalmi’s momentum.

Jordan’s precise bowling, including a crucial yorker to dismiss Babar, and Mir’s two wickets for 16 runs, significantly dented Zalmi’s chances of a comeback.

Ultimately, the Sultans’ all-around performance ensured their berth in yet another PSL final, leaving Zalmi struggling to recover from the setback.
