Mumbai Indians (MI) have recruited U-19 sensation Kwena Maphaka as a replacement for Madushanka.

17-year-old Maphaka hails from the same college as Kagiso Rabada.

Mumbai Indians have secured the services of teenage pace sensation Kwena Maphaka to fill in for the injured Dilshan Madushanka.

Maphaka, a 17-year-old left-arm fast bowler, recently earned the title of Player of the Tournament at the Under-19 World Cup hosted in his native South Africa.

His remarkable haul of 21 wickets in the competition marks the highest tally ever achieved by a pace bowler in a single edition of the U19 World Cup.

He will join the ranks of the five-time IPL champions at his base price of INR 50 lakh.

Hailing from the same alma mater, St. Stithians, as his compatriot Kagiso Rabada, Maphaka’s cricketing journey began early.

He earned a spot in the U-19 team at the tender age of 15 and has since represented South Africa ‘A’ and Emerging Teams, showcasing his prodigious talent on the international stage.

Gujarat Titans have enlisted the services of Sandeep Warrier

Gujarat Titans have appointed Sandeep Warrier as the replacement for Mohd. Shami, who recently underwent surgery for a right heel injury and is currently recuperating.

Warrier, secured at his base price of INR 50 lakh, joins GT after previously featuring in five IPL matches.
