Bangladesh have to welcome India women for a five-game T20I series which is going to be scheduled for the month of April to May.

In April-May, Bangladesh will host India women for a five-match T20I series.

In April-May 2024, Bangladesh will host the Indian women’s team for a five-match T20I series.

According to the draft itinerary prepared by the BCB, all matches will take place at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from April 28 to May 9.

The Indian team is set to arrive on April 25 for the series, which is not part of the ICC Future Tour Programme.

This series follows Australia’s tour of Bangladesh, including three ODIs and as many T20Is, beginning with the first ODI on March 21 and concluding with the last T20I on April 4, all at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Some Australian players will arrive on March 16, while those involved in the ongoing WPL will join post-final on March 17, based on their team’s qualification.

Habibul Bashar, BCB’s newly appointed head of women’s cricket, expressed that these series against top cricketing nations are crucial for Bangladesh’s preparations for the T20 World Cup, set to be hosted in the country in October.

“This will be an opportunity for us to gauge our standing ahead of the T20 World Cup by competing against Australia and India,” said Habibul.

“A positive result would boost our team’s confidence significantly, given the value of victories against teams like India and Australia.”

Additionally, the Bangladesh women’s team will commence their preparations for the upcoming home series against Australia with a spin camp in Dhaka from February 28 to March 2.

Subsequently, they will undergo a skill and fitness camp in Khulna from March 4-16.
