3rd T20I

India sealed the T20I series with the crucial support from their bowlers and openers.

Varma and Mandhana combined forces to forge a formidable 91-run partnership during the chase.

Bangladesh scored 117/8 in 20 overs, where as India scored 121/3 in 18.3 overs.

So, finally India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets.

India’s commanding performance with the ball and bat secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I in Sylhet, effectively clinching the series with two matches still in hand.

Electing to bowl first, India’s bowlers displayed remarkable discipline, with all of them maintaining an economy rate of 6.5 or below, restricting Bangladesh to 117/8.

Shafali Verma’s explosive 51 off 38 balls, supported by Smriti Mandhana’s 47 off 42, anchored India’s successful chase, highlighted by their pivotal 91-run partnership.

India started the chase aggressively, accumulating 59 runs in the power play, with Shafali leading the charge with a blistering 43 off just 26 deliveries.

Mandhana’s well-timed six off Rabeya Khan in the ninth over further accelerated India’s momentum, propelling them to 84 at the halfway mark.

Despite Bangladesh’s efforts to tighten the screws, India remained steadfast, reaching 100 before Mandhana’s departure in the 15th over.

Although Dayalan Hemalatha fell for 9, Richa Ghosh and Harmanpreet Kaur steered India home comfortably.

Bangladesh began steadily, with Dilara Akter’s aggressive stroke play fetching them 44 runs in the initial six overs.

However, India’s consistent breakthroughs slowed down Bangladesh’s scoring rate, and the spinners capitalized on the slowing pitch, restricting the hosts effectively.

Despite reaching 55/1 in the eighth over, Bangladesh struggled to accelerate, eventually crossing the 100-run mark only in the 18th over, losing crucial wickets in the process.

Radha Yadav’s twin strikes in the 19th over and Pooja Vastrakar’s economical final over curbed Bangladesh’s late surge, ultimately proving decisive in India’s comprehensive victory.
