India scored 156/6 in 20 overs, where as Bangladesh scored 135/6 in 20 overs.

So, finally India beat Bangladesh by 21 runs.

Spin maestros Radha Yadav (3-24) and Asha Sobhana (2-25) orchestrated a dominant bowling display for India, securing a 21-run victory over Bangladesh in the fifth and final T20I in Chattogram on Thursday (May 9).

This triumph capped off a flawless series for the visitors, who completed a commanding 5-0 sweep, hardly facing any significant challenges throughout.

Choosing to bat first, India faced an early setback with the dismissal of Shafali Verma, but Smriti Mandhana (33 off 25) injected momentum with her aggressive innings.

Utilizing footwork against the spinners and showcasing exquisite lofted shots, Mandhana set the stage for Dayalan Hemalatha (37 off 28) to build on.

Despite the loss of Mandhana to Nahida Akter, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (30 off 24) joined forces with Hemalatha, forging a crucial 60-run partnership.

However, a flurry of wickets in succession disrupted India’s rhythm, with Harmanpreet and Hemalatha falling in quick succession to Nahida and Rabeya Khan, respectively.

Richa Ghosh’s unbeaten 28 off 17 deliveries propelled India past the 155-run mark, albeit Bangladesh managed to contain the visitors in the final overs.

Chasing 157, Bangladesh faltered against India’s spin arsenal, with Radha Yadav claiming an early breakthrough by dismissing a struggling Dilara Akter.

Supported by Asha Sobhana’s leg-spin and Deepti Sharma’s economical bowling, India tightened the screws on the hosts’ batting lineup.

Despite efforts from Ritu Moni (37 off 33) and Shorifa Khatun (28* off 21), Bangladesh failed to mount a substantial challenge, ultimately falling short in their pursuit.

Radha Yadav’s twin strikes in the same over proved decisive, sealing India’s comprehensive victory.
