The ICC World Test Championship (2023-2025) continues its fervent journey as the third edition of the prestigious tournament for Test Cricket.

Commencing in June 2023 with The Ashes, a gripping encounter between England and Australia, this championship is poised to culminate in June 2025 with the ultimate showdown at Lord’s.

Spanning over two years, the tournament boasts an impressive lineup of 68 matches across 27 series.

The league stage guarantees riveting action as teams vie fiercely to secure a coveted spot in the final at Lord’s, London.

Each team is scheduled to partake in six series, evenly distributed between home and away games, with each series comprising two to five Test matches.

Throughout the championship, every participant will engage in a demanding schedule of 12 to 22 matches, each extending over a challenging five-day period.

The leaderboard will be determined using the Points Percentage System (PCT), calculated as the points won by a team divided by the points contested, multiplied by 100.

ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table reveals India’s ranking ahead of the 5th Test against England.

India surged to the top spot in the latest ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 rankings following Australia’s triumph over New Zealand by 172 runs in the first match of their two-game series.

This victory at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on Sunday, March 3, resulted in New Zealand having two losses and three wins in five matches, with their Percentage of Points (POP) dropping to 60, which was lower than India’s 64.58.

The Percentage of Points (POP) and the total number of points determine the positioning of each team in the WTC points table.

Before the start of the Wellington Test, New Zealand held the top position with a POP of 75, having lost only one match out of the four they had played.
