England Women scored 160/4 in 20 overs, where as New Zealand Women scored 133/5 in 20 overs.

So, finally England Women beat New Zealand Women by 27 runs

Heather Knight’s swashbuckling half-century propelled England to a 1-0 lead in the T20I series against New Zealand.

Despite an early dismissal of Tammy Beaumont for 15, Sophia Dunkley’s aggressive start with six boundaries hinted at a promising innings.

However, her departure for 32 in the eighth over led to a rebuilding phase for England.

Knight then partnered with Maia Bouchier, forging a resilient 91-run stand for the third wicket.

While Bouchier couldn’t accelerate as desired, Knight showcased fluent batting, hammering 63 runs before her departure in the penultimate over.

England posted a formidable total of 160 runs.

In response, New Zealand suffered an early setback with 19-year-old Isabella Gaze departing for a duck in the first over.

Georgia Plimmer and Suzie Bates steadied the innings with a 60-run partnership, but the required run rate climbed steadily.

Maddy Green’s brief 14-ball 8 added to New Zealand’s struggles.

With the onus on Bates to anchor the innings, despite her fifty, New Zealand fell short of the target by 27 runs, unable to cope with the mounting required rate.
