England has dismissed Rohit Sharma after reaching a total of 353 runs.

England successfully removed the formidable Rohit Sharma before the lunch break on the second day in Ranchi, following their dismissal for 353 in the first innings.
The visitors made a promising start in the morning session, with Ollie Robinson achieving his maiden Test fifty.
However, Ravindra Jadeja’s effective bowling dismantled the tail, ending England’s innings at 353.
The day began with a loose delivery down the leg side from Mohammed Siraj, allowing Robinson to flick the ball to the boundary.
Despite India opting for the new ball shortly after, Robinson continued to dominate, striking boundaries off Akash Deep.
His aggressive intent was evident as he reached his fifty with a well-executed sweep off Jadeja, frustrating the Indian team with a partnership of over 100 runs alongside Joe Root.
Root, initially slow to score, found his rhythm with a boundary off Siraj, adding pressure on the Indian bowlers.
However, Jadeja provided India with a breakthrough by dismissing Robinson, who was caught behind while attempting a reverse sweep.
Soon after, Shoaib Bashir fell for a duck with a poorly executed slog against Jadeja.
Despite Root’s efforts to stabilize the innings, Jadeja claimed his third wicket of the morning session by trapping James Anderson leg-before-wicket.
Despite the setbacks, England could take solace in their final total, especially after recovering from a precarious position at 112/5.
Moreover, their early breakthrough, with Anderson removing Rohit Sharma, provided a crucial advantage.
As the game resumed, England’s focus shifted to containing Yashasvi Jaiswal, who posed a threat with his formidable batting form.
