Harmeet Singh with his brilliant performance has helped USA to win a series against Canada

Harmeet impressed with four wickets in his bowling spell.

USA scored 159/6 in 20 overs, where as Canada scored 145/6 in 20 overs.

So, finally USA beat Canada by 14 runs

Harmeet Singh’s explosive cameo of 34 runs off just 17 deliveries, coupled with a devastating spell of 4 wickets for 18 runs, proved pivotal in securing an unassailable lead for USA in their T20I series against Canada.

His late onslaught not only bolstered USA’s innings to a competitive 159 but also saw him twice on the verge of a hat-trick, dismantling the Canadian batting lineup with precision.

Despite Canada captain Saad Bin Zafar’s commendable all-round performance, including figures of 1 for 21 with the ball and a quickfire 29 off 18 deliveries with the bat, it was Harmeet’s brilliance that overshadowed all other efforts.

Opener Dilpreet Bajwa’s valiant half-century momentarily kept Canada in the chase, but his dismissal in the 15th over, with 68 runs still required from 34 deliveries, spelled trouble for the Canadian side.

Despite Zafar’s contribution, Canada’s lower order faltered, ultimately falling short by 14 runs.

In the powerplay, Steven Taylor once again wreaked havoc on the Canadian bowlers.

With a blistering start, Taylor reminded Rishiv Joshi of the challenges he posed in previous encounters, showcasing his dominance with three boundaries in the opening over.

Despite Monank’s early departure for a duck, Taylor continued his onslaught, punishing the Canadian bowlers with his aggressive stroke play.

However, Canada managed to tighten the screws on USA before Harmeet’s heroics, as Dillon Heyliger claimed the crucial wicket of Taylor and dismissed Aaron Johnson shortly after the powerplay.

Although Jones showed promise with a couple of boundaries, he failed to capitalize on his start.

The return of Corey Anderson to international cricket after a hiatus of six years saw glimpses of his brilliance, but his scratchy innings of 28 off 29 deliveries couldn’t provide the necessary impetus to USA’s innings.

Milind Kumar and Anderson struggled to find boundaries for five overs, as Nikhil Dutta and Zafar contained the run flow.

Despite their efforts, USA found themselves in a precarious position at 111 for 6 after 16 overs.

It was Harmeet’s explosive batting towards the end that turned the tide in USA’s favor.

After initially biding his time, he launched a blistering assault on the Canadian bowlers, plundering 16 runs off Harsh Thaker’s over.

Combining with Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Harmeet added 48 runs in just 26 deliveries, wresting back the momentum from Canada.

In the latter stages of the match, Harmeet’s bowling proved decisive as he dismantled Canada’s batting order.

His twin strikes in the 4th over, dismissing Aaron Johnson and Pargat Singh, set the tone for USA’s victory.

Despite Bajwa and Kirton’s valiant efforts to resurrect Canada’s innings, Taylor’s crucial wicket of Kirton and Harmeet’s subsequent dismissals of Bajwa and Movva ensured USA emerged victorious, with Zafar’s resistance ultimately proving futile in the face of Harmeet’s hurricane-like performance.
