Mustafizur Rahman’s six-wicket haul has helped Bangladesh team to secure a victory against USA
USA scored 104/9 in 20 overs, where as Bangladesh scored 108/0 in 11.4 overs.
So, finally Bangladesh beat USA by 10 wickets.
After suffering defeats in their first two games, Bangladesh bounced back emphatically in the final T20I against the USA, propelled by Mustafizur Rahman’s remarkable six-wicket haul.
Mustafizur’s outstanding performance not only marked his career-best figures but also the best figures for Bangladesh in T20I cricket, limiting the USA to a modest total of 104/9.
In response, Bangladesh cruised to victory on the back of an unbroken century partnership between Tanzid Hasan (58* off 42) and Soumya Sarkar (43* off 28), securing a resounding 10-wicket win with 8.2 overs to spare.
The USA made a positive start with openers Andries Gous and Shayan Jahangir, putting on a brisk 46-run stand before Shakib Al Hasan dismissed Gous for 27 off 15 balls.
Mustafizur’s late entry into the attack proved decisive as he struck immediately, removing Jahangir and later dismissing Nitish Kumar, leaving the USA struggling at 56/3.
Rishad Hossain maintained pressure in the middle overs, while Mustafizur’s lethal spells in the death overs thwarted any hopes of a late surge from the hosts.
Despite Corey Anderson’s brief resistance with a four and a six, Mustafizur continued to dominate, claiming crucial wickets in the final over, restricting the USA to a below-par total.
In the chase, Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar provided a flying start, with Tanzid reaching a blistering fifty off just 39 balls, supported by Sarkar’s aggressive stroke play.
Sarkar’s unbeaten 43 off 28 balls, including the winning boundary in the 12th over, sealed Bangladesh’s commanding victory.
