Afghanistan clinches a 2-1 series win over Ireland, triumphing by 57 runs in the 3rd T20I.

Afghanistan scored 155/7 in 20 Overs, where as Ireland scored 98/10 in 17.2 Overs.

So, finally Afghanistan beat Ireland by 57 runs.

Afghanistan demonstrated their dominance with both bat and ball, securing a commanding 57-run victory against Ireland in the 3rd T20I in Sharjah on Monday, thus clinching the T20I series 2-1.

Ibrahim Zadran’s stellar unbeaten knock of 72, complemented by Azmatullah Omarzai’s impressive bowling performance, propelled the hosts to victory in the final match of Ireland’s tour.

Captain Rashid Khan hailed the series win, praising the remarkable performance of his youthful squad.

Despite Ireland’s efforts, they fell short in their pursuit of the 156-run target, succumbing to Omarzai’s four wickets for a mere nine runs, getting bowled out for 98 in less than 18 overs.

Though Ireland claimed victory in the first T20I, Afghanistan’s consecutive wins on Sunday and Monday secured their triumph in the three-game series, following their earlier success in the ODI series, which they won 2-0.

Opting to bat first once again after winning the toss, Afghanistan’s Zadran played a pivotal role with his career-best T20I score, anchoring the innings effectively.

Despite early setbacks, including the dismissal of opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan found stability with partnerships featuring Zadran and Mohammad Ishaq.

In response, Ireland struggled to mount a substantial run chase, facing consistent pressure from Afghanistan’s pace attack.

Omarzai’s key wickets, supported by Naveen-ul-Haq’s crucial contributions, dismantled Ireland’s batting lineup.

Ultimately, Naveen-ul-Haq’s decisive slower ball sealed Afghanistan’s series victory, highlighting their readiness for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Despite their loss, Ireland’s tour remains historic, marked by their inaugural Test match win on March 1.
