Malaysia managed to contain Bangladesh in the first three overs despite a few boundaries from Murshida.

Dilara Akter, after a slow start, picked up the pace with a boundary off Suabika Manivannan.

The fifth over was pivotal as Dilara smashed a six and two fours off Aisya Eleesa, contributing to a 15-run over.

Murshida also added a boundary in the final over of the powerplay, setting up a strong start for Bangladesh.

Middle Overs: Murshida-Sultana Provide Strong Base

Phase score – 75/1 [RR: 8.33; 4s/6s: 9/0]

Dilara and Murshida hit a boundary each off Eleesa in the seventh over before Dilara fell to Mahirah Izzati Ismail.

Murshida and Sultana then formed a strong partnership, regularly finding the boundary and targeting Ismail.

The 14th over, bowled by Ismail, saw three fours hit by the duo, with Murshida reaching her fifty off 45 balls.

Elsa Hunter bowled economically, conceding only 17 runs in her three-over spell during this phase.

MALAYSIA

Jahanara Alam struck early, dismissing Ainna Hamizah Hashim for a duck in the opening over.

Elsa Hunter provided some resistance with four boundaries in the first five overs, but Wan Julia struggled at the other end.
