Stafanie Taylor will be missing from the West Indies squad for the India tour
Senior allrounder Stafanie Taylor will miss next month’s tour to India, where the West Indies will play three T20Is and three ODIs, as she continues her rehabilitation from an injury, according to the CWI.
The board has named the same squad for both formats, with Deandra Dottin making her return for the 50-over matches.
Dottin, who reversed her international retirement earlier this year to feature in the Women’s T20 World Cup, last played an ODI in March 2022.

“We want to carry the positive momentum we gained from the T20 World Cup into this series.
We demonstrated that we can compete with the top teams, which was really encouraging,” said Head Coach Shane Deitz.
His team reached the semifinals of the World Cup, where they were defeated by eventual champions New Zealand.
“Since taking over, I’ve seen improvements across all areas, but there’s still a long way to go.
Consistency in high-level performance is what we need to keep striving for, and this series presents a great opportunity to play six matches against one of the best teams in the world.”
“We also want to encourage more girls to get involved in franchise cricket.
Looking ahead to India, it’s always valuable to play in front of the Indian IPL teams.
It’s a chance for our players to showcase their talents and hopefully open up future opportunities,” Deitz added.
West Indies’ last white-ball series in India took place eight years ago in 2016, when they won the T20I series 3-0, but lost the ODI series by the same margin.
This year’s tour will begin with T20Is on December 15, 17, and 19 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, followed by three ODIs in Baroda on December 22, 24, and 27.
