Chloe Tryon has been named in South Africa’s squad for the India T20Is
For the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, Chloe Tryon is the sole addition to the South Africa squad that was previously selected for the Chennai Test and the preceding ODI series.
Tryon makes her comeback after recovering from a back injury that sidelined her from cricket for a couple of months.
Arriving in India ahead of the series, she participated in a net session in Chennai, coinciding with Day 4’s play of the one-off Test.

All-rounders Delmi Tucker and Nondumiso Shangase, who were part of the Test and ODI squad, will return home following the conclusion of the Chennai Test.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mieke de Ridder, who played two ODIs earlier in the tour and scored 26 runs, has been included in the T20I squad.
She did not feature in the team that played against Sri Lanka in three T20Is earlier this year in March and April.
South Africa Women’s Interim Head Coach Dillon du Preez welcomed Chloe Tryon back into the squad and emphasized the significance of the upcoming series as crucial preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in October in Bangladesh.
“We’re pleased with the 15-player squad selected for the T20I series.
Chloe’s return from injury adds valuable experience to the team, and we look forward to having her back on the field,” said du Preez.
“We have three T20I matches against India remaining.
This gives us an opportunity to explore a few options before returning home to finalize our preparations for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.”
The T20I series commences on July 5 in Chennai, with the next two matches scheduled for July 7 and 9, also in Chennai.
