Pakistan has appointed Mohammad Rizwan as the permanent white-ball captain, taking over from Babar Azam, who recently stepped down.
Rizwan will lead the team in his first two assignments during the tours to Australia and Zimbabwe, where six uncapped players have been included: Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Saim Ayub.
The team will play three ODIs and three T20Is in both countries.
Additionally, the selectors have added uncapped players Jahandad Khan and Agha Salman to the T20I squads.
The tour of Australia begins on November 4, followed by a similar six-match white-ball series in Zimbabwe starting November 24.
While Rizwan has been named for the Australia tour and the Zimbabwe ODIs, he has been rested for the T20I series.
Babar Azam will participate in the Australia series but will not travel to Zimbabwe.
Pacer Mohammad Hasnain, who last played an ODI in January 2023, has been recalled after a strong performance in the Champions One-Day Cup, where he took 17 wickets last month.
He will be part of the squad for both the Australia and Zimbabwe tours.
Aside from Babar, Naseem Shah, Agha Salman, and Shaheen Afridi, only Arafat Minhas, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah, and Muhammad Irfan Khan have been selected for both the ODI and T20I squads.
Players such as Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Faisal Akram, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, and Shahnawaz Dahani, who are in the ODI side, will be replaced by Arafat Minhas, Jahandad Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Omair Bin Yousuf, Qasim Akram, Sahibzada Farhan, and Usman Khan for the T20I series in Australia.
