Day-2 Morning Session Highlights:
A five wicket haul from William O’Rourke has wrapped up the Sri Lanka’s innings during a rain-affected session

At The Lunch of Day-2:
Sri Lanka scored 305 (1st Innings), where as New Zealand scored 5/0 (1st Innings).
So, finally Sri Lanka lead by 300 runs.
In a significantly shortened opening session on Day 2 of the first Test in Galle, New Zealand restricted Sri Lanka to 305, led by William O’Rourke’s impressive five-wicket haul.
New Zealand were at 5/0, having faced just one over when rain interrupted play again, prompting officials to call an early Lunch.
Starting the day at 302/7, Sri Lanka lost Prabath Jayasuriya in the third over as Ajaz Patel trapped him lbw.
Shortly after, rain caused a 45-minute delay.
Upon resumption, O’Rourke dismissed Ramesh Mendis (lbw) and Asitha Fernando (bowled), leaving Sri Lanka to add only three runs to their overnight score while losing three wickets.
Tom Latham opened his account with a single off Fernando, while Devon Conway hit a boundary for his first runs.
However, players quickly retreated to the pavilion as rain resumed.
Lunch was taken at 12:00 PM local time, with revised timings for the day set for Tea at 3:10 PM and Stumps at 6:00 PM, weather permitting.
