India has leaved out Mohammed Shami as they have announced the squad for New Zealand Test series

Jasprit Bumrah has been officially appointed as the vice-captain.

India have announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, with Mohammed Shami still absent as he continues his recovery from injury.

Shami, who has not featured for India since the Men’s World Cup final against Australia in November last year, remains on the sidelines.

The rest of the Indian squad follows expected lines after their two-match Test series win against Bangladesh last month.

Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal, who was the 16th member of the squad for the Bangladesh series, has been omitted.

Additionally, fast bowlers Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav, and Prasidh Krishna have been named as travelling reserves, along with all-rounder Nitish Reddy.

India will begin the Test series in Bengaluru, starting on October 16.
