Texas Super Kings scored 177/8 in 20 overs, where as Seattle Orcas scored 140/9 in 20 overs.
So, finally Texas Super Kings beat Seattle Orcas by 37 runs.
With the playoff spots already secured, the Texas Super Kings secured a comfortable 37-run victory over the Seattle Orcas, providing a significant confidence boost ahead of their Eliminator match against MI New York.
The Orcas’ disappointing season ended with only a single win to their name.
Calvin Savage played a pivotal role, scoring an unbeaten 45 off 27 balls and taking 2 for 23, helping the Super Kings to a formidable total of 177 despite early struggles.
The Orcas started strong with the ball, as debutant Ayan Desai dismissed Conway on the first ball and Joshua Tromp followed in the next over with a catch behind the stumps.
However, in-form skipper Faf du Plessis countered with aggressive batting, hitting Nandre Burger for boundaries and a six before eventually being caught.
Marcus Stoinis and Milind Kumar built a solid partnership, but the Super Kings’ scoring rate slowed after the key wickets.
Stoinis was dismissed by a spectacular catch from Klaasen, and du Plessis’s exit caused further delays.
Milind Kumar and Mitchell Santner made useful contributions, but regular wickets hindered their progress.
Savage’s two sixes off Michael Bracewell in the 16th over regained momentum for the Super Kings.
Cameron Stevenson added a quick 17 off 11 before being dismissed, and Noor Ahmad’s maximum contributed to pushing the total beyond 170.
In response, the Orcas’ chase faltered immediately with Ryan Rickelton out on the first ball.
Shehan Jayasuriya managed a slow 24 off 27 balls, and Quinton de Kock briefly accelerated the scoring.
However, Savage, who had been instrumental with the bat, struck with the ball, dismissing Jayasuriya and de Kock.
Noor Ahmad’s effective bowling left the Orcas struggling, with Klaasen eventually falling to Santner.
Despite Keemo Paul and Shubham Ranjane’s attempts to salvage the innings, the Super Kings’ bowlers sealed a comfortable victory as the Orcas’ chase crumbled.
