Kolkata Knight Riders have announced Dwayne Bravo as their new mentor, succeeding Gautam Gambhir, who has transitioned from the franchise to the Indian team.
Prior to this appointment, the Chennai Super Kings legend served as the bowling coach for the Men in Yellow.
Bravo expressed his excitement about this new role, stating, “I’ve been part of the Trinbago Knight Riders for the last 10 years in the CPL.
Having played for and against the Knight Riders in various leagues, I have immense respect for their operations.
The owners’ passion, the professionalism of the management, and the family-like atmosphere make it a unique environment.
This is the ideal platform for me as I transition from playing to mentoring and coaching the next generation of players.”
Throughout his illustrious career, Bravo has played 582 T20 matches, taken 631 wickets, and scored nearly 7,000 runs.
With more championship wins than any other cricketer, his experience is unmatched.
Venky Mysore, CEO of Knight Riders Group, shared his enthusiasm about the appointment:
“Dwayne Bravo joining us is an exciting development.
His relentless drive to win, coupled with his extensive experience and profound knowledge, will greatly benefit our franchise and players.
We’re also thrilled that Bravo will be involved with our other franchises globally, including CPL, MLC, and ILT20.”
