Asha Sobhana and Sajana Sajeevan has received their first-ever call-up to the Indian team.

WPL 2024 standouts Asha Sobhana and Sajana Sajeevan have earned their debut India T20I call-ups in the 16-player squad unveiled for the forthcoming five-match tour of Bangladesh.
However, Jemimah Rodrigues, who amassed 235 runs for the runners-up Delhi Capitals, has been left out.
Asha showcased her prowess as the second-highest wicket-taker in WPL 2024, claiming 12 scalps.
Additionally, she stood as the second-best performer for champions RCB, trailing behind Purple Cap awardee Shreyanka Patil (13).
On the other hand, Sajana made a memorable entry into the limelight by smashing a six off the first ball, clinching a final-ball thriller victory for Mumbai Indians against eventual finalists Delhi Capitals on the opening night.
D. Hemalatha and Radha Yadav stage their return to the Indian squad.
The Railways batter, Hemalatha, last donned the Indian colors during the 2022 Asia Cup final in Bangladesh, while Radha had been absent from the squad since India’s semi-final exit at the 202 T20 World Cup in South Africa.
Minnu Mani and Mannat Kashyap have been omitted from India’s squad.
Both players featured in the team’s last T20I series against Australia at home earlier this year.
India is set to participate in five T20Is in Bangladesh as part of their preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled for September-October in the same country.
The series commences on April 28, with the final match scheduled for May 9.
Except for the third and fourth T20Is, all matches will be night fixtures and will take place in Sylhet.
