Australia scored 371/8 in 50 overs, where as India scored 249 in 44.5 overs.

So, finally Australia beat India by 122 runs.

Georgia Voll’s maiden ODI century and Ellyse Perry’s third helped Australia dominate India by 122 runs in the second game of the three-match series, taking a 2-0 lead in Brisbane.

Voll, playing just her second ODI for Australia, partnered with Phoebe Litchfield for a 130-run opening stand and then added 92 runs with Perry, powering Australia to their highest total against India – 371/8.

India’s chase never gained momentum, with Richa Ghosh’s fifty and contributions from Jemimah Rodrigues and debutant Minnu Mani falling short as India was bowled out for 249 in 45 overs.

Opting to bat first, Australia saw the young opening pair of Voll and Litchfield start cautiously before accelerating, with Voll reaching her fifty off 43 balls and Litchfield following suit in 18 overs.

Voll, who had earlier scored 46* at the same ground, went on to score 104, marking her first ODI century.

Perry, providing strong support, blasted a 43-ball fifty and brought up her own 72-ball century, her fastest of three.

Despite a mini-collapse after Perry’s dismissal, Australia finished strong with Beth Mooney contributing 56 off 44 balls.

In India’s chase, the required rate was always steep, and despite a steady fifty from Ghosh and a 43 from Rodrigues, India struggled to maintain momentum.

Australia’s bowlers kept the pressure on with key wickets, and when Rodrigues fell, India was at 184/6 and out of contention.

Mani’s defiant knock of 46* was not enough, as India was bowled out for 249, handing Australia a 122-run victory and sealing the series 2-0 with one game remaining.

The third ODI will be played at the WACA in Perth on December 11.
