2nd T20I
Ravi Bishnoi has helped India to secure a rain-affected victory to clinch the series

Sri Lanka scored 161/9 in 20 overs, where as India scored 81/3 in 6.3 overs.
So, finally India beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets (DLS).
Ravi Bishnoi’s impressive three-wicket haul spearheaded India’s outstanding bowling performance, leading to a seven-wicket victory in a rain-shortened match in Pallekele.
This win gave the visitors an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Chasing a rain-adjusted target of 78 runs in 8 overs, Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Surya Kumar Yadav contributed significantly once again, as India comfortably achieved the target.
Difference Between the Sides:
Sri Lanka, having reached 130/2 at the end of the 15th over, faltered in the final stretch, collapsing to a subpar total of 161/9.
A target exceeding 180 could have posed a challenge for India on a used surface, but, similar to the first T20I, India excelled in restricting Sri Lanka in the final overs, allowing only 31 runs in the last five overs while taking seven wickets.
This crucial phase was pivotal in determining the outcome of the match and the series.

Power Play: Indian bowlers short in the Power Play again
Phase score: 54/1 [8x4s, 1x6s]
Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera ensured a productive Power Play for Sri Lanka, exploiting the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
Nissanka built on his form from the previous game, taking advantage of Mohammed Sirajâs erratic start to gain momentum.
Kusal Mendis’s dismissal to a slower delivery from Arshdeep Singh was followed by Perera’s boundary on the first ball, signaling a continued aggressive approach.
Despite India bowling only one over of spin in the Power Play, the change in strategy didn’t yield additional success upfront.
Middle Overs: Kusal Perera carries Sri Lanka
Phase score: 76/1 [9x4s, 1x6s]
During the middle overs, India relied solely on spin from Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel, and Riyan Parag, with Bishnoi claiming the crucial wicket of Nissanka with a googly.
Perera, who was dropped on 32 by Rinku Singh, went on to score a 31-ball fifty and shared a fifty-run partnership with Kamindu Mendis for the second wicket.
Death Overs: Hara-kiri from Sri Lanka
Phase score: 31/7 [0x4s, 2x6s]
As in the previous game, India dominated the death overs.
Sri Lanka lost 7 wickets for 31 runs, managing only 161 runs in total.
The collapse began in the 16th over bowled by Hardik Pandya, with Rinku Singhâs sharp catches dismissing Kamindu and Perera.
Bishnoi further decimated the Sri Lankan lineup with wickets of Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga, ending with figures of 3 for 26.
Sri Lankaâs only boundary after Pereraâs dismissal came in the 20th over from Ramesh Mendisâs six.
India
The Chase: A victory in a canter
Phase score: 81/3 [10x4s, 4x6s]
In the chase, a heavy shower halted play for over an hour.
The revised target of 78 runs in 8 overs saw Yashasvi Jaiswal immediately make an impact with a boundary.
Sanju Samson, replacing the injured Shubman Gill, fell for a duck to a carrom ball from Maheesh Theekshana, but Jaiswalâs aggressive play continued as soon as the recalibrated two-over Power Play began.
Surya Kumar Yadav, the Player of the Match from the first T20I, was in fine form again, hitting a hat-trick of boundaries against Theekshana.
Supported by Hardik Pandyaâs quick 22*, India chased the target with nine balls to spare.
