Cricket Australia has officially confirmed that the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy will commence on November 22nd in Perth, with India taking on hosts Australia.
Following the opener, the five-match series will progress to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Perth’s relatively new Test venue has witnessed four matches thus far, all resulting in victories for the home team.
While India toured the venue during the 2018-19 series, no Test was scheduled during their last visit in 2020-21.
The second Test will be a day-night affair, set to commence on December 6th in Adelaide.
Notably, the last time India played a pink-ball Test under lights in Adelaide, they suffered a historic collapse, being dismissed for just 36 runs.
However, this time, they will have a nine-day gap to prepare for the challenge.
The iconic Gabba in Brisbane, known as Australia’s fortress, will host the third Test.
Following this, the traditional Boxing Day Test will take place at the MCG, followed by the New Year’s Test at the SCG.
Before India’s arrival, Pakistan will engage in a white-ball series in Australia, featuring six matches.
The series will include three day-night one-day games held at the MCG, Adelaide Oval, and Perth stadium, followed by a three-match T20I series concluding on November 18th.
