At The Stumps of Day-1:

India scored 150 (1st Innings), where as Australia scored 67/7 (1st Innings).

So, finally India lead by 83 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah produced a fiery spell, taking 4 wickets as India fought back after being bowled out for 150 on the opening day of the Perth Test.

After Australia’s quicks dominated, reducing India to a precarious position, Bumrah’s late burst rattled the Australian top-order.

Starting the final session, Bumrah removed debutant Nathan McSweeney for a review-induced LBW.

He then caused chaos by getting Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja out in quick succession, the latter dismissed with a brilliant delivery that sent the ball to Virat Kohli at slip.

Bumrah’s most significant breakthrough came when he sent Steve Smith back for a duck with a sharp delivery that struck plumb in front of the stumps.

Harshit Rana made an impression as well, claiming his first Test wicket by bowling out Travis Head, while Mohammed Siraj added further pressure with wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Labuschagne, leaving Australia six down.

Bumrah returned to grab his fourth wicket, dismissing Pat Cummins caught behind.

Earlier in the day, Australia’s fast bowlers had dominated, with Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc picking up early wickets.

Hazlewood bowled a superb spell to dismiss Kohli and Rahul, while Starc removed Jaiswal and Padikkal.

India, though, mounted a brief counter-attack through Pant and debutant Nitish Reddy, who fought well to take India past 100 before the collapse resumed.

Despite India’s fightback, they ended the day at 150 all out, with Bumrah’s spell providing some hope as Australia headed into the second day with a lead of 83 runs.
