Defending champions Australia have called up all-rounder Heather Graham to replace the injured Tayla Vlaeminck in their T20 World Cup squad.

Vlaeminck dislocated her shoulder early in the Group A match against Pakistan on Friday, after her knee got stuck in the turf during a slide, causing her to land awkwardly.

This unfortunate injury, occurring just four balls into her comeback match, continues a worrying trend of injuries for the 25-year-old.

The game against Pakistan marked only her second appearance in a T20 World Cup, her previous one being six years ago in the West Indies.

On the other hand, Graham has played five T20Is for Australia, the most recent against New Zealand in Mackay last month during the World Cup preparations.

Prior to that, she represented the Trent Rockets in the Women’s Hundred, where she took 9 wickets from 8 games at an economy rate of 6.88, while also scoring 104 runs at a strike rate of 160.
