Fatima Sana is set to return for Pakistan’s match against New Zealand

Captain Fatima Sana is set to return to Dubai and rejoin the Pakistan team ahead of their final group match against New Zealand in the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup.
The 22-year-old had flown back to Karachi following the sudden passing of her father on Thursday (October 10).
Sana earned the Player of the Match title in the team’s opener against Sri Lanka for her explosive performance, scoring 30 runs off 20 balls and taking two wickets.
She also made a significant impact in the match against India, claiming back-to-back wickets while trying to defend a low total.
In her absence, Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat to Australia, losing by nine wickets with nine overs to spare.
Meanwhile, fast bowler Diana Baig, who sustained a calf muscle injury after bowling just one delivery in the opening game against Sri Lanka, has been officially ruled out of the tournament.
The ICC has confirmed that Najiha Alvi has been named as her replacement.
