Day-1 Morning Session Highlights:

England team has rattled early by the spin attack in the Rawalpindi Test

Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali opened the bowling and remained unchanged throughout the session, each delivering 15-over spells that unsettled England.

At The Lunch of Day-1:

England scored 110/5 vs Pakistan

Sajid Khan (3-55) and Nauman Ali (2-53) picked up where they left off in Multan, giving Pakistan a dominant start on the first morning of the final Test against England in Rawalpindi.

The spin duo bowled uninterrupted from the start, each delivering 15-over spells that left England reeling.

Opting to bat on a slow, turning surface, England found themselves struggling at 110/5, with Ben Duckett (52) the only batter displaying some comfort at the crease.

As with the previous game, all eyes were on the pitch.

Though unused, extensive measures had been taken to ensure a dry, spinning surface, making the track unpredictable.

Expectations of turn were met immediately as Sajid’s first delivery spun sharply from a middle-and-leg line, setting the tone.

The pitch lacked pace and produced low bounce throughout the session, enhancing the impact of spin.

Sajid and Nauman maintained tight, probing spells with the new ball, even as Duckett and Zak Crawley (29) managed a steady 56-run opening stand.

England looked stable initially, but the challenging nature of the pitch was evident.

Nauman broke through first, inducing an outside edge from Crawley that was caught at backward point, triggering a collapse.

In the next hour, England’s innings unraveled as Sajid exploited the uneven bounce with attacking lines, dismissing Ollie Pope LBW and then claiming the prized wicket of Joe Root, who missed a low-bouncing delivery and fell cheaply for the first time in 17 innings.

The low bounce continued to trouble England as Duckett, well-set, was trapped LBW while attempting a flick.

Nauman deepened Pakistan’s grip by bowling Harry Brook, who missed a sweep, scattering the stumps.

England lost five wickets in just 77 balls, giving Pakistan the morning honors.
