1st Test
Day-4 Morning Session Highlights:
Joe Root and Harry Brook’s monumental stand has leaved the Pakistan deflated

At The Lunch of Day-4:
England scored 658/3 (1st Innings), where as Pakistan scored 556 (1st Innings).
So, finally England lead by 102 runs.
A monumental partnership between Joe Root and Harry Brook, which now stands at 409 with no end in sight, has utterly flattened Pakistan in the opening Test at Multan Cricket Stadium.
Root and Brook, who had already dominated on Day 3, continued their relentless assault, each notching up double centuries.
By lunch on Day 4, England’s lead had surged past 100, with more devastation looming.
Pakistan’s day started off poorly as Abrar Ahmed, sidelined due to fever, was absent from the field.
To compound their misery, Babar Azam dropped a straightforward chance that could have dismissed Root on 186.
Root immediately punished the error, slapping a boundary before bringing up his sixth double century.
At the other end, Brook raced to 150 off just 186 balls, sealing Pakistan’s fate as the writing was clearly on the wall.
England quickly claimed a first-innings lead, but despite Babar’s constant changes in the bowling attack, the two batsmen continued to pile on the runs.
Remarkably, England’s run rate remained above five throughout, as Root and Brook toyed with Pakistan’s bowling, eventually setting England’s record for the highest-ever partnership in Test cricket against Pakistan.
Moments later, Brook reached his own double century.
Just before the lunch break, Root surpassed his highest-ever Test score and is now eyeing a potential maiden triple century when play resumes.
If England continues in this dominant manner, the prospect of a victory on the final day remains very much alive against a weary Pakistani side.
