Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep, who have all been named in India’s Test squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh, have been released from the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25.
They are among eight players withdrawn from the tournament to participate in the Test series.
Mayank Agarwal has been appointed as the captain of India A following Gill’s departure.
The Indian men’s selection panel has also announced replacements: Pratham Singh for Gill, Akshay Wadkar for KL Rahul, SK Rasheed for Jurel, Shams Mulani for Kuldeep, and Aaqib Khan for Akash Deep.

In India B, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and Yash Dayal have been left out after being selected for the India squad, with Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh named as their replacements.
However, Sarfaraz Khan, who has also been included in the India squad, will still participate in the second-round game.
Additionally, Himanshu Mantri from Madhya Pradesh has been added to the squad.

The India C squad remains unchanged for the second round, while India D will be without Axar Patel, who has been replaced by Haryana’s Nishant Sindhu.
Additionally, Tushar Deshpande has been ruled out of the tournament due to a niggle and has been replaced by Vidwath Kaverappa, who has moved from India A.
