David Moore, the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Head of Programs, is unlikely to continue in his role after the completion of his tenure due to family commitments.
The Australian was appointed for a two-year term in January 2023, with his contract set to officially end on December 31, 2024.
A senior BCB official confirmed this to Cricpulse, adding that the Board would make a decision on the next steps shortly.
“Yes, he informed us that he will not stay after the end of his tenure in December,” BCB director Nazmul Abedin told Cricpulse on Thursday (December 12).
“The Board will decide on the next course of action when the time comes,” he added.
It is also understood that Moore received an offer in Sydney, in addition to his family commitments.
Moore’s role with the BCB focused on planning, developing strategies, and implementing the High Performance unit and Bangladesh Tigers programs, which were designed to directly benefit the national team’s progress.
He was also responsible for overseeing the development programs for coaches.
Meanwhile, a BCB official confirmed that the Board had decided to reappoint David Hemp as the head of the High Performance Unit after he was released from his duties as the national team’s batting coach.
