So, finally Trinbago Knight Riders beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 44 runs.

Nicholas Pooran’s explosive 97 off 43 balls, combined with Keacy Carty’s unbeaten 73 from 35 deliveries, powered Trinbago Knight Riders to a formidable total of 250/4—the third-highest team score in Caribbean Premier League history.

Despite a spirited response from St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, who managed to surpass 200, they were comfortably outpaced.

After the early loss of Jason Roy, the Knight Riders’ innings was jumpstarted by Sunil Narine during the powerplay.

Narine smashed 38 runs, including four sixes and three fours, off the first 44 runs scored within four overs before falling to Anrich Nortje.

Following Narine’s dismissal, Pooran took charge, launching a relentless attack on the bowlers.

His aggressive approach was evident from his first three scoring shots—4, 6, 6—off Dominic Drakes, who eventually conceded 77 runs.

Pooran raced to a 21-ball fifty and kept the momentum going.

Carty joined Pooran in the 8th over, and the pair intensified the assault with blistering shots from both ends.

Carty, who was dropped three times, capitalized on his chances, contributing to a 122-run partnership with Pooran.

Pooran was dismissed by Nortje, falling just three runs short of a century, but Carty continued to push, ensuring the Knight Riders reached 250—a feat achieved only three times in the tournament’s history.

In response, the Patriots’ chase faltered early due to a double strike by Joshua Little, who removed Andre Fletcher and Kyle Mayers in the second over.

Evin Lewis and Mikyle Louis offered initial resistance with a 54-run stand, with Louis scoring a half-century and adding another 70 runs alongside Tristan Stubbs before both fell in quick succession.

Narine further dented the chase with two crucial wickets, leaving the Patriots to fall short by 44 runs.
