Shimron Hetmyer (91 off 39 balls) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (69 off 37 balls) were the standout performers, while Keemo Paul provided a fiery finish with a 12-ball 34.

Despite a spirited 81 from Andre Fletcher and a brisk 34 from Sherfane Rutherford, regular wickets saw the Patriots fall short, bowled out for 226, handing the Warriors a 40-run victory.

Opting to bat first, the Warriors promoted Kevin Sinclair to open the innings, and he got off to a quick start, hitting four boundaries off Kyle Mayers before being caught at extra cover.

Gurbaz began more cautiously but soon found his rhythm, and a series of boundaries in the sixth over propelled the Warriors to 53 runs in the Power Play.

After Hope’s dismissal, Hetmyer joined Gurbaz at the crease, and the pair unleashed a relentless assault on the Patriots’ bowlers.

Gurbaz launched Ryan John for two towering sixes, one of which sailed over 100 meters, bringing up his half-century in style.

The duo then pummeled Odean Smith for 21 runs in an over, and Hetmyer followed suit by clearing the boundary off both Mayers and Mohammad Mohsin.

Hetmyer brought up his fifty with a single down the ground.

The 14th over saw Hetmyer hammer two more sixes before Gurbaz was bowled by Anrich Nortje.

Keemo Paul then took charge, smashing Mohsin for 25 runs in a single over with three sixes and a four.

After a brief run-out, Hetmyer unleashed four enormous sixes off Odean in a 28-run penultimate over before being dismissed on the final ball.

While Mayers hit a couple of sixes, it was Fletcher who ignited the innings, dismantling Sinclair for four sixes and two fours in a massive 34-run over, which included two no-balls.

Despite the quick loss of Mayers, Rutherford counter-attacked, smashing Paul for boundaries, and the Patriots raced to 94 for 2 by the end of the Power Play.

Fletcher reached his fifty in just 18 balls, but the Patriots’ hopes took a hit when Rutherford was caught for 34.

Imran Tahir then turned the game with a double-wicket maiden, removing Josh Clarkson and Odean Smith.

Fletcher tried to keep the chase alive, hitting a four and a six off Gudakesh Motie, but was soon caught, leaving the Patriots at 174 for 6.

Tahir claimed another scalp, dismissing John, but Mohsin took on the spinner, smashing two sixes and a four before falling in the next over.

Mikyle Louis briefly entertained with two fours and a six off Pretorius, but his dismissal at extra cover sealed the Patriots’ fate as the Warriors claimed a comfortable victory.
