Guyana Amazon Warriors scored 219/8 in 20 overs, where as Barbados Royals scored 172/9 in 20 overs.

So, finally Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 47 runs.

Guyana Amazon Warriors secured a commanding 47-run victory over Barbados Royals, fueled by disciplined bowling and explosive half-centuries from Shai Hope (71) and Shimron Hetmyer (57).

Chasing a daunting 220, the Royals crumbled to 95/8 by the 14th over, but David Miller’s blistering 34-ball 71* spared them complete humiliation before they ran out of overs and partners.

After opting to bowl first, the Royals got an early breakthrough through Maheesh Theekshana in the opening over.

However, Azam Khan and Hope quickly stabilized the Warriors with a 51-run partnership in under five overs.

Jason Holder’s intervention ended the partnership, but Hetmyer’s arrival sparked a game-changing century stand with Hope.

The pair dominated the middle overs, preventing the Royals’ bowlers—except for a tight spell from Theekshana—from finding their rhythm.

The Warriors reached 100 in just 9.4 overs and launched an all-out assault.

Rovman Powell’s over went for 25 runs, with Hetmyer and Hope smashing three sixes between them.

Hetmyer raised his fifty in 29 balls, with Hope following suit just two deliveries later in the same over.

Despite losing four middle-order wickets, including both set batters, Romario Shepherd’s late cameo ensured the Warriors surpassed 200, eventually finishing at 219.

The Royals’ chase faltered early, losing two quick wickets.

Though Quinton de Kock briefly counterattacked with a 21-run fifth over, the powerplay ended at 46/2, and the mounting pressure took its toll.

Moeen Ali’s successful review dismissed de Kock, and Imran Tahir struck twice in quick succession as spin choked the Royals’ progress.

Moeen finished with miserly figures of 2-1, while Gudakesh Motie picked up 3 for 42, his figures slightly marred by Miller’s late onslaught.

Miller launched a spirited fightback with some audacious hitting, particularly targeting Dwaine Pretorius, but by then the Royals had already lost too many wickets.

Despite Miller’s heroics, the Royals limped to 172/9, well short of the target.
