CPL 2024 : Aaron Jones was picked by the St Lucia Kings in the CPL 2024 draft

USA international Aaron Jones, who showcased his hard-hitting skills at the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup, was picked by the St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League 2024 draft on Monday.

He qualifies as a local player due to his Barbados passport.

All six teams had completed most of their squad picks through signings and retentions prior to the draft day, when the remaining spots were filled.

The Kings also selected Khari Campbell, Johann Jeremiah, Mikkel Govia, and Akeem Auguste during the draft.

Meanwhile, the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots chose Kyle Mayers as their first pick and followed up with Mikyle Louis, Ryan John, and Veerasammy Permaul.

Matthew Nandu rejoined the defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors, who also picked the all-round duo of Raymon Reifer and Ronaldo Alimohamed to complete their squad.

Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, the newest CPL team, picked five players:

Roshon Primus, Justin Greaves, Jahmar Hamilton, Teddy Bishop, and Kofi James.

The Trinbago Knight Riders added Nathan Edward and Shaquere Parris in their emerging player spots.

The Barbados Royals filled their three remaining squad spots with Kadeem Alleyne, Isai Thorne, and Nathan Sealy at the draft.

The 2024 edition of the CPL is set to begin on August 29, with Antigua & Barbuda Falcons taking on the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.
