Nahid Rana has joined the Bangladesh’s T20I squad for the series against West Indies

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday the inclusion of pace bowler Nahid Rana in the squad for the T20 international series against the West Indies.
The Bangladesh team is currently in St. Vincent, where the matches are scheduled for December 16, 18, and 20.
The 22-year-old Rana has already featured in six Tests and three ODIs for Bangladesh, but he is yet to make his debut in T20 internationals.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh T20I captain Litton Kumar Das expressed confidence ahead of the three-match T20 series against the West Indies, set to begin at the Arnos Vale Stadium.
After being swept in the three-match ODI series, Bangladesh is eager to bounce back in the T20Is.
They can draw confidence from their positive memories at the venue, having defeated Nepal and the Netherlands there during this year’s T20 World Cup.
While rain disrupted Bangladesh’s preparations, Litton, who is captaining the side in the absence of Najmul Hossain, downplayed concerns about their readiness.
“No, there are no shortcomings because yesterday we also practiced fielding under the lights.
Most of the players in this team have played both ODIs and Tests, so they are in touch with the game,” Litton said in a video message from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Litton also acknowledged the challenge of facing the West Indies in their home conditions, particularly in the shortest format.
“Usually, T20 matches are challenging for us.
Since this will be played at the West Indies’ home ground, it will be a bit tough.
We will try to figure out how to overcome this and focus on playing a good series,” he added.
