Litton Das has been appointed as the captain of Bangladesh for the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies

Litton Kumar Das will captain a 15-man Bangladesh squad for the three-match T20I series against hosts West Indies, beginning on December 15.
Soumya Sarkar, Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain Patwari, Nasum Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and Ripon Mondol have been recalled as Bangladesh seeks to rebuild following the retirements of Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, who captained the T20I squad in their previous series in India, is still recovering from a groin injury that kept him out of the Test and ODI series.
It remains uncertain whether he will reclaim the captaincy upon his return, especially given his recent lack of form in the T20I format.
According to Cricpulse, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not appoint Mehidy Hasan Miraz as captain, despite him standing in as skipper for the Tests and ODIs on this tour, due to his irregular involvement in T20Is.
Towhid Hridoy, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, and Rakibul Hasan have not been included in the squad.
