At The Stumps of Day-2:

Bangladesh scored 164 (1st Innings), where as West Indies scored 70/1 (1st Innings).

So, finally Bangladesh lead by 94 runs.

Jayden Seales delivered a spectacular performance in the first innings against Bangladesh at Sabina Park in Jamaica, claiming four wickets at an astonishingly low economy rate of 0.30 on Day 2 of the second Test.

His final figures read 15.5-10-5-4, with six consecutive maidens across both days of play.

Shamar Joseph also impressed, taking 3 wickets for 49 runs as Bangladesh was bowled out for 164.

By stumps on Day 2, the West Indies had lost just one wicket, reaching 70/1 and trailing by 94 runs.

The West Indian bowlers started well on the second morning, adopting a fuller length to capitalize on the lateral movement.

Alzarri Joseph and Kemar Roach contained the set batters, Shahadat Hossain and Shadman Islam, testing them with nip-backers and frequently beating the outside edge.

Shahadat, in particular, punished any overpitched deliveries through the covers.

The 73-run resistance ended when Shamar struck in his first over, getting the ball to move away before one held its line to bowl Shahadat out.

Seales, who had bowled three consecutive maidens on Day 1, maintained his tight line, adding another three maidens to his tally on Day 2.

His third maiden brought a wicket as Litton Das was caught in the slips.

Meanwhile, Shadman watched as Jaker Ali mistimed a short delivery from Shamar and was caught by the keeper.

After the drinks break, Shamar picked up his third wicket when he got Shadman caught behind with the ball moving away.

In just 33 balls, Bangladesh lost four wickets for 15 runs.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz (36) and Taijul Islam (16) put up some resistance with a 41-run partnership, taking a few blows to the body in the process.

Alzarri Joseph finally broke the stand, dismissing Taijul with a catch at third slip off a short ball.

Seales then returned to take two wickets in one over, dismissing both Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy.

Fittingly, Seales wrapped up the innings, bowling Nahid Rana to bowl Bangladesh out for 164.

In response, West Indies started steadily but slowly.

Openers Mikyle Louis and Kraigg Brathwaite were patient, leaving the ball and playing defensively.

Brathwaite punished overpitched deliveries from Hasan Mahmud with boundaries, while Louis got off the mark after 28 balls.

The hosts survived a testing 10-over period before Tea.

After Tea, Nahid Rana returned, consistently bowling over 150 km/h.

He got Louis to edge a drive to the keeper, but the West Indian batters resisted his pace.

Brathwaite scored two consecutive boundaries off Rana, and there was turn for Taijul, who spun one from leg stump to outside off, but Brathwaite was put down by Mehidy at short-cover.

Brathwaite was also given out LBW but successfully reviewed it, as the impact was outside off.

The two West Indian openers survived the final period, adding an unbeaten 45-run partnership.
