Bangladesh’s pace duo, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana, put in outstanding performances as Pakistan was bowled out for just 174 in the post-Lunch period on Day 4 in Rawalpindi.

Mahmud claimed five wickets, while Rana took four.

With Bangladesh needing just 185 for a historic 2-0 series win, the openers, Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam, made a brisk start, advancing the score to 42/0 before bad light and rain ended play early in the final session.

Pakistan began the second session with their backs against the wall, having already lost four wickets to pace in the morning.

Rana had exploited poor shot selection from Shan Masood, Babar Azam, and Saud Shakeel before lunch, leaving Pakistan at six down with Mohammad Rizwan trying to salvage the innings.

Masood was the first to fall, nicking a length delivery outside off-stump to keeper Litton Das.

Babar Azam’s dismal run continued as he was caught by Shadman Islam for just 11.

Rizwan struggled as well, surviving a bouncer that hit his helmet and then edging a delivery from Rana to Litton Das.

Mahmud then dismantled the lower order, dismissing Rizwan with a ball outside off-stump and sending Mohammad Ali packing on the next delivery.

Abrar Ahmed managed to hang on for six overs before Rana returned to bowl him out.

Mahmud completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Mir Hamza.

Bangladesh’s openers navigated a brief period of play before Tea, with Zakir Hasan being particularly aggressive, hitting Khurram Shahzad for two sixes.

By Tea, Bangladesh were 37/0 in just 6 overs and reached 42/0 in the only over bowled after the break.

With the final session largely lost to bad light and rain, Bangladesh will have three sessions on the last day to chase down the remaining 143 runs and complete a series sweep.
