Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz has reversed the momentum against Pakistan on a dramatic day in Rawalpindi

Mehidy and Litton combined for a crucial 165-run partnership for the seventh wicket.

At The Stumps of Day-3:

Pakistan scored 274 (1st Innings) and 9/2 (2nd Innings), where as Bangladesh scored 262 (1st Innings).

So, finally Pakistan lead by 21 runs.

Litton Das’s 138 and Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s 78, including a crucial 165-run partnership for the seventh wicket, were the highlights of Bangladesh’s strong comeback on Day 3 of the Rawalpindi Test.

After being in dire straits at 26 for 6, the visitors managed to post 262, just 12 runs short of Pakistan’s first innings total.

Khurram Shahzad was the standout bowler for Pakistan, claiming 6 for 90.

On the third morning, Shahzad and Mir Hamza made immediate impacts for the hosts.

Shahzad dismissed Zakir Hasan, who edged a delivery to square leg, and followed up with the wickets of Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto in quick succession.

Hamza also contributed, removing Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim, while Shahzad’s fourth wicket came when he trapped Shakib al Hasan, leaving Bangladesh in a precarious position at 26 for 6.

Mehidy and Litton then launched a counterattack, with Mehidy scoring a few boundaries off Hamza and Litton doing the same against Shahzad.

By lunch, Bangladesh had reached 75 for 6.

The duo continued their aggressive approach in the afternoon, putting Shahzad under pressure and raising the 150-run partnership with some powerful hitting.

Shahzad took his fifth wicket when Mehidy was caught off a short delivery, and soon after trapped Taskin Ahmed before tea.

Litton, alongside No. 10 batter Hasan Mahmud, pressed on, reaching his fourth Test century with a series of aggressive strokes.

Despite a missed chance by skipper Shan Masood and some tight bowling from Pakistan, Litton and Mahmud added 69 runs before Litton was dismissed for 138.

No. 11 Nahid Rana did not add to the score, but Bangladesh had managed to close the gap significantly.

In the final overs of the day, Pakistan struggled with the bat.

Abdullah Shafique was out for a duck, nicking a delivery from Hasan Mahmud, and nightwatchman Shahzad was bowled by Mahmud, leaving Pakistan at a precarious 9 for 2.
