Mayank Yadav and Nitish Reddy has been selected for the Bangladesh T20I Series

Pacer Mayank Yadav, who made headlines during the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been named in India’s squad for the upcoming home T20I series against Bangladesh.
Joining him in the 15-member squad is all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who also impressed in IPL 2024.
The squad does not include India’s Test regulars.
Mayank caught attention earlier this year while playing for Lucknow Super Giants with his raw pace.
However, his IPL season was cut short after a side strain reappeared following a brief return, limiting him to just four matches.
His inclusion in the national squad now signals a much-needed boost for India’s pace attack as they prepare for the upcoming Australian tour.
Nitish, too, will be eager to make an impact.
Initially selected for the Zimbabwe tour earlier this year after a standout IPL season for Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he scored 303 runs, Nitish was sidelined by injury.
He recently made a successful return in the Duleep Trophy, proving his fitness to the selectors and earning a spot in the national squad.
Several players from the squad that toured Sri Lanka in July, including Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj, and Khaleel Ahmed, have been rested ahead of the three home Tests and the Australian tour that follows.
Abhishek Sharma, who scored a century in Zimbabwe in just his second T20I, returns to the squad.
Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana, and Jitesh Sharma also make the cut.
As reported by Cricpulse, Sanju Samson retains his place ahead of Ishan Kishan, who has only recently returned to competitive cricket.
The three-match T20I series begins on October 6 in Gwalior, followed by matches in New Delhi and Hyderabad.
