Day-2 Afternoon Session Highlights:
Bowlers has reinforced the India’s dominance with the consistent strikes

At The Tea of Day-2:
India scored 376 (1st Innings), where as Bangladesh scored 112/8 (1st Innings).
So, finally India lead by 264 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, and Ravindra Jadeja struck regularly for India, leaving Bangladesh in a precarious position at Tea on Day 2 of the first Test in Chennai.
After India were dismissed for 376, Bumrah’s three wickets, along with two each from Akash and Jadeja, reduced Bangladesh to 112/8, still trailing by 264 runs.
Bangladesh’s innings got off to a rocky start after wrapping up India’s tail.
Bumrah adjusted his angle, coming around the wicket to bowl Shadman Islam for 2 as he shouldered arms to a ball that jagged back in.
Zakir Hasan had a stroke of luck when he was struck on the pad by Mohammed Siraj, but India didn’t review, with replays later showing it was out.
After three overs each from Bumrah and Siraj, Akash Deep and R Ashwin were brought into the attack.
Akash struck twice in quick succession, bowling Zakir and Mominul Haque off consecutive deliveries to leave Bangladesh reeling at 22/3.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, who had looked promising, fell early in the second session when Siraj induced an edge that Virat Kohli safely grabbed at second slip.
Bangladesh slid further to 40/5 as Bumrah dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim with a late-moving delivery, caught neatly by KL Rahul.
A vital 50-run stand between Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das briefly steadied the innings.
Both batsmen initially defended cautiously before finding boundaries to initiate a mini-recovery.
However, India responded with Jadeja’s spin to worsen Bangladesh’s plight.
Litton mistimed a sweep and was caught by substitute fielder Dhruv Jurel.
Shakib attempted a reverse sweep, but only managed an edge onto his boot, which was caught by the wicketkeeper.
Hasan Mahmud and Mehidy Hasan Miraz managed to score a few boundaries, but Mahmud fell to Bumrah just before Tea, leaving Bangladesh eight wickets down.
Earlier in the day, Taskin Ahmed delivered a quick triple-strike, while Hasan Mahmud became the first Bangladeshi pacer to take a five-wicket haul in Test cricket.
India added only 37 runs to their overnight total before being bowled out.
Despite the collapse, India’s lower order had put up a strong fight, with Ashwin scoring 113 and Jadeja contributing 86, as they added 232 runs for the last four wickets after being reduced to 144/6 on Day 1.
Taskin, bowling with the second new ball, dismissed Jadeja for his overnight score of 86, getting him to edge a ball outside off-stump.
Ashwin briefly responded with a boundary off Mahmud, while Akash Deep struck a few quick boundaries as well.
He added 17 in a 24-run stand with Ashwin before attempting a big shot and falling to Taskin.
Taskin then wrapped up Ashwin’s fine innings, as the Indian all-rounder attempted to clear mid-off but was caught by Najmul Hossain.
Bumrah was the last to fall, with Mahmud claiming his fifth wicket.
